Despite being ready and waiting at the Stage 4 start line, the Dakar Race Director has not allowed Isuzu Motorsports to restart Dakar. Isuzu Motorsports did not make the cut off time to start Stage 3 and as such, were forbidden from starting Stage 4. Just 80 kilometres from reaching the end of Dakar's longest stage, 518 kilometres of hostile terrain in Stage 2, the Isuzu Motorsports team encountered a minor mechanical issue that prevented them from completing the stage. Stage 2 of the 2015 Dakar was designed to unsettle even the most experienced competitors with 518 kilometres of hostile terrain. The administrative and technical formalities have now been completed and the thrills of the 2015 Dakar has officially begun for the Australian Isuzu Motorsports team. The day after a spectacular ceremonial start in the heart of Buenos Aires, the Dakar proper commenced.
