Tony Howell has resigned as Executive Chef of Margaret River Hospitality Group. After two years as an equity partner in the group, Howell will be stepping away from business ownership.
Howell said: “It’s been a terrific ride and I’ve learned so much from the team as well as about myself and I’m really grateful for the experience. At this stage in my life and with my young family, my priorities have shifted. It’s been more than a business partnership, we’ve become great friends and we’ve ended the business relationship on the very best of terms – I’d like to thank the team for the past two years and look forward watching their success in the future. I have little doubt that it’ll be anything but great. I still have a passion for working behind the stoves and I love the buzz of a busy service and the challenge of a big function – I’m excited about my next chapter!”
Howell will continue to work with the group at special events and functions. He also plans to spend time with his family while he oversees the build of their new home. Howell said he would keep his work options open at this stage.
After a successful season as one of the presenters of Fresh TV, Howell hasn’t ruled out further media work.
