Hold on Perth – Daniel Ricciardo is coming home for a day of speed like you’ve never seen
A spectacular, adrenaline-fuelled, action-packed day of race cars and super stars - buckle up for the Perth Speed Fest on Sunday 13 December 2015 at Perth Motorplex.
For the first time, Formula 1 star Daniel Ricciardo will bring the Red Bull Racing RB7 world-championship winning car to Perth and race against top drag cars in the ultimate test of speed.
V8 Supercar driver Will Davison, MotoGP rider Jack Miller, Formula 1 royalty Alan Jones and V8 pit lane reporter, Perth’s own Riana Crehan are just some of the big names joining Ricciardo at Perth Speed Fest.
Perth Speed Fest Event Producer Emma Stenhouse said that the event is based on the Goodwood Festival of Speed held in the UK and will be a demonstration of motoring throughout the eras.
“There’s nothing in Australia quite like it,” Ms Stenhouse said.
“This is an event for fans and families that will appeal to all ages whether you like bikes, cars, karts or just a great day out celebrity spotting.
“To see our local hero Daniel Ricciardo in an F1 car racing in Perth, as well as racing and demonstrations of motorcross, rallying, bikes, drags, and V8s alongside a huge showcase of historic, classic and majestic cars will be exciting.
“Perth Motorplex is a fantastic venue to showcase this wide range of motorsport; there will be non-stop action all day.”
Australia’s only living Formula 1 World Champion Alan Jones, is looking forward to being at Perth Speed Fest.
“I love coming to Perth as it is so beautiful. It will be great to catch up with old friends and to be able to see such a variety of motor vehicles up close and personal. Some of them will be as old as me!” Mr Jones said.
