Now’s the time to plan a decadent winter escape to the 10th annual Truffle Kerfuffle held in a food and wine lovers’ paradise in Western Australia’s Southern Forests region from 19 to 21 June 2020.
Truffle Kerfuffle is a weekend-long celebration of the truffle season in Manjimup, the heart of Australian truffle country. It’s an opportunity to rug up and mingle around the fire pit, indulge in long table feasts with generous amounts of freshly unearthed truffles, be inspired at free cooking demonstrations and taste the freshest truffles and renowned Southern Forests produce all in the beautiful setting at Fonty’s Pool. There’ll be truffle dog demonstrations on the festival grounds or venture to a nearby farm to join a truffle hunt with truffle hunters and their trained dogs to search for alluring truffles.
Huddle together for fireside cooking sessions in the Chef’s Cabin with acclaimed chefs, discover some of the nation’s best cool climate wines, meet the local farmers, producers, winemakers and community that make up the Southern Forests region, and take the time to simply soak up the authentic atmosphere in a true country festival.
Held in the most prolific truffle growing region in the Southern Hemisphere, the festival is a true celebration of Manjimup’s prized black truffles, sought-after by chefs across the globe for their consistent high quality, impossible-to-describe taste and unmistakable heady, earthy aroma.
From its initial beginnings in 2011, Truffle Kerfuffle (a not for profit community event) has grown into a highlight of the Australian tourism calendar and is on the to-do list of many a traveller and gourmand.
Truffle Kerfuffle is proudly supported by the Western Australian State Government through Tourism WA’s Regional Events Program, Fonty’s Pool, Australian Truffle Traders and The Truffle and Wine Co.
